The Heart & Vascular Center of New Brunswick is a practice specializing in the care of Cardiac and Vascular problems.  We have offices in Somerset and Monroe Townships in NJ. We provide a comprehensive range of diagnostic and therapeutic services for the care of  heart and vascular disorders, including echocardiography, nuclear stress testing, holter monitoring, vascular testing, cardiac catheterization, coronary angioplasty, and stenting.

Hospital Affiliations:

We are affiliated with Saint Peter's University Hospital and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. As of 2009 we are also affiliated with Princeton Medical Center.

Technology in the Practice:

We employ the latest tools in technology to improve the quality of care we provide. We employ an electronic medical record to chart all our activities.  We have also instituted a patient portal to allow electronic communication with patients and us. Patients will now be able to request prescriptions online, will be able to see when their next appointment is, request a new appointment online and be able to communicate with the clinical staff online. We have automated our patient reminder system to remind you of your appointments. We also try and employ several audiovisual tools to educate our patients about their medical problems. More than 90% of our prescriptions are handled electronically. We hope to automate the ability to order laboratory tests and acquire results with at least one of the major labs soon.

Our Staff:

Dr Dinesh K. Singal is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology. He is presently the Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Saint Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ and an attending cardiologist at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. He brings with him a wealth of experience accumulated over 17 years of practice and the performance of thousands of cardiac and vascular procedures over the years.

Dr Chirag H. Shah has joined the practice in 2009. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology. He did his Cardiology Fellowship at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ.
